So I did an image search to post a “One Bean Taco” photo on this blog…. and what did I find?!?!?!
An album by Victoria Lee Galinsky… it is called “One Bean Taco, TO GO”
I told Garrett about my find and he ordered me to download her songs.. So I did. We are going to play them tonight on our show.
But that is NOT it. My friend Jordan form NY might call in and share stories of his summer vacation.
Garrett and I will also be doing a dramatic performance of an IM conversation I had with my friend Dana. This conversation is totally rated R. (and may disclose my penis size to the entire world.)
We will also be playing lots of fun music… Like Victoria Lee Galinsky… oh yeah I said that already.
Joseph & Garrett’s One Bean Taco Show airs tonight 8-11 PM PST. It also re airs on Friday night at 10PM PST.

Day three- Redding, CA
We played in a bar called the Red, White, and Brew Pub
it was attached to a Subway and apparently it used to be a Chuck E. Cheese
Played: Decent
Other bands: None
We were followed by Karaoke
met: a guy who was a migrant worker who cut down tall trees near power lines
Drank tangerine hefewiesen, ate Subway sandwiches.
Car was driving like a tiger colt.
me: That morning Josh and I went to the Keystone for breakfast. I had been there, like, 13 years ago. We drove to Redding and listened to Patrick’s mixed tape. There was this funny song by Frank Zappa about fake-hippies on it. We made it to the Red, White, and Brew Pub- which is this tiny little bar- in the early evening. They acted like the didn’t know that we’d be there and no other bands were playing that night. We played and most of the people went out back. I think that they were waiting for Karaoke. Jim went back to our hotel room and Josh and I stayed for free beer and karaoke. We sang “If I Could Turn Back Time” by Cher as a duet. We left the bar and took some pictures.
On our way back to the hotel there was a lunar eclipse. Josh and I laid down in the parking lot and watched the magical event. It was officially Josh’s birthday at that point. We stayed up for a little while and eventually went to sleep at the training hotel where we had found a room.

Day two- Eugene
We played at the Wandering Goat Coffee shop in Eugene, Oregon.
Played: Okay
Other bands: We missed most of them.
Free Bananas
met: Anne!
She made us a casserole.
me: We woke up in the morning and Josh was hella-hella hung over. I was a little bit too. We made our way to my friend Jill’s house. She made us blackberry pancakes. Devon, who we met the night before was also there. We went to online coffee with Devon after that and checked our emails. I was trying to meet up with friends in San Fran. That was the last time I got online until we got back. We parted with Devon and headed on down the highway.
My battery light was on and I was nervous that it might be my alternator. An hour or so later when one thing after the other started to go out, I knew that it was my alternator. So, I pulled over in Albany where the car died. We were lucky enough to find an auto parts store with a nice man who was willing to change the part for us. We had to get several jumps to make it to the store and I even had to drive on the sidewalk at one point! We followed the guy to his house where he changed the part for us. We were on our way to Eugene within an hour and weren’t even late for the show, although we missed the other singers. We didn’t get paid for playing, but we did get free coffee and travel mugs. The travel mugs happen to build up pressure when closed and proceed to burst forth with a liquid surprise- however they are cute.
We met Anne (”Hot Girls Are Not the Enemy) who shared apple wine and made us casserole. Then we went to the Bijou theatre. I lived in Eugene for a year a long time ago and that was the one place that I wanted to visit. We met a cat there named “Boo” who was about 26 and lives on a theatre seat in the lobby. Then we went back to Anne’s where Jim and Josh and I all slept in the same bed.

Day one- Portland
We are in Portland- PDX, at house show
Played: Descent
Other bands: Good
Hey Tiger! and Dinasaurs
met: Hailey, Jill, Lolly, Matt, Devon (said Josh was like the Silver Surfer[Tonjia] /Hitler[Devon]), Mary Ann
Drank really good home brew and yellow tail
ate good food.
bad traffic.
parent’s house- cute kitten(this was previous to Portland)
battery light went on in car- Tonjia stressed!
hella hippies on porch
me: I was kind of drunk when I wrote that.
I had Josh’s help too- there was a guy selling his really good home brew beer- it was really strong too and we couldn’t help but drink tons of it. We played at the Hey Tiger! people’s house. They let us stay there. Josh got really drunk and when we went to go to sleep Patrick (from Pinchers of Peril) was sitting there eating a sandwich. He made this really cool mixed tape that he gave Jim.
