Wanna hear a hungry man’s stomach gurgle or prayer requests from the 80s?

Well, Hollow Earth Radio is where you will hear that—and more.

You’ll hear & experience things like:

:::Dolphin Sounds’ with Human Interpretations::::

talk2

:::Found Sound from Old Answering Machine Tapes:::
Read Garrett’s blog entry about our adventure finding found sound in Port Townsend, and hear a found sound sample.

Here’s something else we found:

timeline

To read more about this find, go here. We found an entire house-full of things dumped on the side of the road near our house. It was quite mysterious, and definitely sad. We found some man’s journals, writings, taxes, resumes, tapes he made with a handheld, and more. We play snippets of these recordings, (probably made in the late 80s) on the radio.

::::Interviews with local bands around town::::
We make ‘em play songs, ask ‘em questions, and divine their future.
They are called “In-Home Performances” and can be heard Tuesdays at 8pm, Wednesdays at 2pm, and Saturdays at 3pm (PST).

Check out these videos we made during some of these in-homes:

The Webelos spin the bottle…

Pwrfl Power does an improv game during the interview…

::::Dreams, Messages, Stories, Paranormal Encounters, Band Tour Stories::::

(all called in by YOU!)
Call our number at 206-905-1250 to deliver us messages. We’ll put them on the radiooo.

Speaking of Band Tour Stories, The Flick Skinny created animated short films of band tour stories that they collected. These animations involve Corey Feldman, buggers on a wall, and more. The Flick Skinny does witty movie reviews on Hollow Earth Radio.

::::Billy Joe on the Radio::::

Billy makes great mixes! Go here to hear samples of music collages that are akin to what shows up in his weekly mixes. You can hear them on Sundays at 8pm and Mondays at 3pm (PST).

Also, check out his artwork at www.billyjoemiller.com. He’s the artist who created this:

So take a listen. Explore. Make connections. Share what you’ve heard.

The Webelos And Spin The Bottle! March 20th at 8pm PST

Filed under: Uncategorized — Garrett Kelly @ 1:11 am

The Webelos are our featured in-home performance for this week, and we’ll be airing an interview / jam session we did with them at the S.S. Marie Antoinette. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BAND - one of my new favorites for Seattle. Here’s a short video of one of the songs and some collage of when we played spin the bottle! Don’t worry, there’s not tongue-action, just some made up fortunes for the band to help predict their future with craigslist. (Jim is rumored to be an obsessive craigslist aficionado and we asked him extensively about his tips of the trade)…. Check it out !

O’, Ye Of Little Faith

Filed under: Uncategorized — Garrett Kelly @ 10:15 pm

Check this out! We might be having some company arriving soon - as it looks like some scientist types just found another entrance to our home here in the center of the Earth:

Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands - British scientists have embarked on a mission to study a gigantic hole in the Atlantic seabed - an enigma that defies traditional geophysical theory and will give researchers an unprecedented look into the centre of the Earth.

We are eagerly awaiting the news of this expedition and are baking cookies in preperation of their arrival.
